Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is your success rate for grant applications?
I have a strong track record of success, with the majority of my clients securing OTF funding. However, grant approvals depend on factors like project alignment with OTF priorities, competition, and proposal quality. While I can’t guarantee funding, I maximize your chances by crafting a strategic, well-written application tailored to OTF’s requirements.
What types of nonprofits do you work with?
I have worked with 20+ nonprofits across Ontario, including those focused on social services, arts and culture, education, sports, environmental initiatives, and community development. If you're unsure whether your organization qualifies, I can provide a free eligibility assessment.
What do you need from us to get started?
Once we confirm that your organization is eligible, I’ll need:
-
Basic details about your nonprofit (mission, history, key programs).
-
Your project idea and how it aligns with OTF’s funding priorities.
-
Financial information (budget estimates, previous funding sources).
-
A main contact person for communication throughout the process.
How long does the grant writing process take?
A strong grant application takes several weeks to develop, so I recommend starting well before the July 23 opening date. My process includes:
-
Initial consultation & strategy development.
-
Drafting & revisions.
-
Finalizing and submitting the application before the August 20 deadline.
Why should we hire you instead of writing the grant ourselves?
Writing a compelling grant application is time-consuming and requires strategic positioning to meet OTF’s criteria. I bring:
-
10+ years of grant writing experience.
-
An MBA and expertise in nonprofit funding.
-
A proven track record of winning grants for 20+ nonprofits.
-
A stress-free process, so you can focus on running your organization.
What happens if our grant application is unsuccessful?
While my services significantly improve your chances, funding is ultimately at OTF’s discretion. If your application is unsuccessful, I can:
-
Provide feedback on how to improve for future applications.
-
Help refine your proposal for other funding sources.
-
Discuss reapplying in the next grant cycle.
What’s the difference between the early bird and regular pricing?
If you sign up before May 31, you get the early bird price of $1,500 + HST. After that, the price increases to $2,500 + HST. This incentive is designed to encourage early applications so I can dedicate more time to each client before the final rush.
